A Crystal Heights speaker at Owlypia Global in London

Crystal Heights was at Owlypia Global in London from 10 to 16 August 2025. The team travelled under its own banner, our crest with THE CRYSTALS in black beneath it, and was photographed with the Ghanaian flag alongside delegations from other countries. Joel Etiam Mensah came home with a Certificate of Excellence from the Owlypia Committee, awarded in recognition of exceptional public speaking abilities demonstrated in the Impromptu Challenge in the Owlets category, ages twelve to fourteen. The screen behind him listed the proficient public speakers of that category, with entries from Kazakhstan above and below, and GHANA beside his own name. An impromptu challenge hands a speaker a subject and very little time. Nobody can be coached through it in the room; whatever a child brings in is what they already had. A pupil of twelve to fourteen doing that in a hall in London, in front of an international field, is worth recording plainly.
