Owlypia: the Accra Galaxy Round

On 28 and 29 March 2026 Crystal Heights pupils competed in the Accra Galaxy Round of Owlypia, hosted at Galaxy International School. Owlypia describes itself as a global competition for young minds and runs in three age categories: Owlins for ages nine to eleven, Owlets for twelve to fourteen, and Owlys for fifteen to eighteen. The photographs show the ordinary shape of a competition day. Pupils at desks with papers and pens, working. A hall of contestants from several schools waiting between rounds. Then medals and certificates at the front, and a table of trophies behind. Owlypia runs from local rounds like this one up to a global final. Seven months earlier it had taken one of our speakers as far as London, and the learners at these desks were on the same road.
