Questions and answers

Which curriculum tracks does Crystal Heights offer?
Crystal Heights offers two tracks: Pearson Edexcel (the international track, from iPrimary through International A-Level) and the Ghana Education Service national track (Pre-School through SHS).
What are the school fees at Crystal Heights?
Fees are provided on enquiry and are priced by stage and track (with SHS priced by programme). Tuition is termly across three terms per academic year; boarding is optional at every level and includes feeding. Request the current schedule through the enquiry form, by phone, or on WhatsApp and an admissions advisor will send the figures for your child's stage.
Is boarding available?
Yes. Boarding is available at every level of the school, with comprehensive student services and pastoral care.
How do I apply for admission?
Begin by enquiring or booking a tour through this site: an admissions advisor then guides you through the application, entrance assessment, and offer. Families who have already applied can track their application at portal.crystalheights.edu.gh/apply using their serial number and PIN.
Where is the school located?
We are located at Shikpontele, Amasaman, Opposite China Mall, Accra, Ghana. You can find directions and contact details on our Contact page.
What are the school's operating hours?
Our general hours are Monday to Friday, 5:00–18:00, and Saturday to Sunday, 10:00–16:00. Please confirm current hours with the admissions office when booking a visit.
Does the school support students with special educational needs?
Yes. Our Special Needs Coordinator leads inclusive education across the school, ensuring every learner receives appropriate support.
What ages does Crystal Heights take?
From 0 to 18: Preschool starts at Creche (ages 0–5, five class years), and the school runs through iPrimary, iLowerSecondary, IGCSE and International A-Level on the international pathway, or JHS and SHS on the Ghanaian pathway.
What are the school day and term dates?
The school day runs 8:00am to 2:45pm; the internal timetable varies by division. The academic year runs September to July in three terms.
How big are the classes?
Deliberately small. Classes split into thematically named sections: Mercury, Diamond, Gold, Platinum. And when a section fills, we open a new one for incoming students rather than crowd the existing one.
When do families choose between the international and Ghanaian pathways?
After iPrimary 6. Both pathways continue on the same campus, international to iLowerSecondary, IGCSE and A-Level (Pearson Edexcel); Ghanaian to JHS and SHS (GES, examined by WAEC). So changing pathway never means changing schools.
Does boarding include meals?
Yes. Boarding is available at every level and includes feeding, boarders are never charged separately for meals.
Are there houses and inter-house competitions?
Yes. Every student belongs to one of four houses for their whole time at CHIS: Entsie, Dadzie, Mensah and Margaret. They compete on academic and conduct points, and merit is tracked as seriously as anything else.
How do I track my child's application?
Families who have applied receive a serial number and PIN from their admissions advisor and can follow every step of the application at portal.crystalheights.edu.gh/apply.
Can I just message the school on WhatsApp?
Yes. WhatsApp is often the fastest way to reach admissions. Use the WhatsApp links anywhere on this site, or message +233 26 471 2272 directly.
