iLowerSecondary, ILS 1 to ILS 3, deepens subject mastery on the international pathway and prepares students for IGCSE study.
iLowerSecondary at Crystal Heights
iLowerSecondary (ILS) is where the international pathway takes shape: three years, ILS 1 to ILS 3, on the Pearson Edexcel framework with externally benchmarked assessment.
In the May/June 2024 series, Miranda Nana Yaa Odeiwaa Ocran took the highest mark in the world in Pearson Edexcel iLowerSecondary Global Citizenship, and Pearson School Qualifications recognised it with an Outstanding Pearson Learner Award. That is the standard this division works to.

The school day
8:00am to 2:45pm, the internal timetable varies by division.
Three terms
The academic year runs September to July, in three terms.
Small, named classes
Classes split into sections: Mercury, Diamond, Gold, Platinum. When a section fills, we open a new one rather than crowd it.
Four houses
Entsie, Dadzie, Mensah and Margaret. Every student joins one and competes on academic and conduct points, and merit is tracked as seriously as anything else.
Where it leads
ILS 3 leads directly into IGCSE, the international pathway's first externally certificated stage.
Boarding, on campus
Boarders live on campus with full pastoral care, at every level of the school. Boarding includes feeding, so families make one decision and everything is covered.
